How to Recover Permanently Deleted Files from Google Drive

If you accidentally delete a file or folder from Google Drive, there are several methods you can use to recover them. One of the most common ways is to use the built-in Trash feature on Google Drive. To access it, simply go to your Google Drive and click on the "Trash" icon in the top right corner. From there, you can view all of the deleted files and folders and restore them as needed.

In addition to using the Trash feature, you can also use third-party tools such as Google Photoscan or Google Takeout. These tools allow you to download all of your photos, videos, and documents from Google Drive into one location. This can be useful for creating a backup of your files or accessing them offline.

It’s important to note that there are some limitations to recovering permanently deleted files from Google Drive. If the file was deleted more than 30 days ago, it will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Additionally, if you have emptied the Trash manually, there is no way to recover the files.

To prevent accidentally deleting files in the future, it’s important to always double-check before clicking on the delete button. You can also set up Google Drive to automatically back up your files and folders to another location, such as an external hard drive or cloud storage service. This will ensure that your files are safe and accessible even if something unexpected happens.
